Singing sensation Adele has revealed that she won’t be buying her son Angelo anything expensive for his 11th birthday – despite her £150m fortune.

Adele, 35, who shares son Angelo with ex-husband Simon Konecki, is instead planning to celebrate her son’s milestone birthday with a week of celebrations as she has been busy swapping out her superstar status and replacing it with party-planning.

London-born singer Adele is currently playing her Las Vegas residency, but between shows, she has been kept busy coming up with ideas to make her only son feel special ahead of his big day – but she has no intention of buying Angelo any kind of lavish birthday gift.

Over the weekend, during one of her Las Vegas shows, Adele told her adoring audience about Angelo’s birthday plans. “This week my son turns 11 years old. Can you believe that? We have got a busy week coming celebrating him.

“He is very much like me because I take my birthday very seriously. So it is a whole week or a month celebration which I think everyone should treat their birthday like.”

The Hello hitmaker added: “From a very young age he seems to have adopted the same point of view, which isn’t quite as fun. He is my son and obviously I adore him and he is like “can I do this and do that.’ I am like “that is very expensive. You are 11 shouldn’t we be having a tea party still? But you know eleven year-olds in 2023 are like going on 25?

“He is more savvy in every way than I am and I ever have been or ever will be. That is my week So I guess my update next week will be, being a bullied mother probably,” she quipped.

It comes after Adele sparked marriage rumours last month when she called her fiancé Rich Paul “husband” during an interaction with a fan during a show in Las Vegas. Fans wonder if the 35-year-old singer secretly said “I do” to her partner of two years as she accidentally called Rich her “husband” when chatting with a concert-goer.

During the concert, a female fan proposed to the Grammy award-winning singer to which she politely declined, responding: “You can’t marry me. I’m straight, my love,” and added: “And my husband is here tonight.” The audience member asked the Love in the Dark singer if she could “try” to which she laughed and responded: “No, I don’t want to try! I’m with Rich. You’re crazy, leave me alone.”

Adele has been engaged to Rich since February of this year after the pair first met at a party together in 2021 and have been inseparable since. The iconic couple started dating two years after the singer ended her marriage of three years with Simon Konecki, whom she shares Angelo with.

The Send My Love singer has been rocking a beautiful sparkling engagement ring from Rich for the past year with rumours that the pair were going to wed in the summer.
