As the camera pans around the airport, a man appears to be desperately trying to put them back into a container which they have appeared to have escaped from.

A number of people can be seen taking their own pictures to document the strange occurrence.

One person can be heard saying “oh my goodness”.

The footage was uploaded to Facebook by Lionel Bonimy who says it was taken at Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) in the Caribbean.

The caption reads: “Soo, while waiting on my bag at LPIA this afternoon, someone’s cooler of crabs popped open on the conveyor belt and they made a run for it.

“Bahamians may love to eat crab but we sure aint trying to catch them lol.”
