This actress, best known for portraying Jennifer Lawrence’s little sister, Primrose Everdeen, in The Hunger Games, recently showed off her unrecognizable new figure.

She first catapulted into the limelight, at age 11, in the wildly popular film franchise, based on Suzanne Collins’ series of young-adult novels of the same name.

In 2012, she made her big-screen debut as Katniss Everdeen’s sweet and soft-spoken younger sibling. 

Her character, who was described as innocent with no inclination toward violence in the action-packed books, was known for her small stature, partly due to being underfed for the majority of her life.

And over a decade later, the star — now 24 — flaunted her gym-honed physique in a recent Instagram post, which received more than 16,713 likes. 

After sharing the mirror selfie, fans flocked to the comment section to marvel over how different she looks since playing Primrose.

‘You’ve come a long way since The Hunger Games!!!’ one wrote of the star’s body transformation. 

Another described her as looking ‘strong and incredible.’ 

‘The way my jaw literally dropped. You look amazing,’ a third gushed beneath the snap, shared in April. 

This performer, who was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and has a twin sister named Autumn, most recently appeared in the 2022 coming-of-age film When Time Got Louder, following the Netflix drama Spinning Out in 2020.

Her other credits include roles in the series In Plain Sight (2009) and Beyond the Blackboard (2011), alongside actress Emily VanCamp, as well as the fantasy film Into the Rainbow (2017). 

Over the course of her career, she has also earned a Young Hollywood Award and an MTV Award.

Last year, she revealed that she was ‘blackmailed and extorted for nude photos of’ herself, which she said were ‘never meant to be shared with the whole world.’ 

‘I’m taking back the control and sharing it with you first. Here’s the photo they emailed and attached threatening to share with my friends, family, and the internet. They claim to have many more “less tame” photos to use against me,’ she captioned a mirror selfie of herself standing nude from the side in front of the mirror. 

She explained that she decided to post the image on social media because she did not want to ‘let someone else make choices involving’ her body or ‘allow someone to have power over’ her. 

‘I’ve already reported this person and case to the FBI and I sincerely hope they take the investigation seriously and follow through with this crime,’ she shared. 

‘I also share this because I know how many other people are affected daily by revenge porn, and nude leaks, that are carried out by hackers and criminals in an effort to break down body, and mind, both deeply vulnerable. I understand and I’m sorry it exists,’ added the actress.

Shields concluded the post by writing that she ‘will not stand for any slut shaming.’
