If you’re anything like us you’ve probably spent more time than you’d like to admit wondering: ‘What’s it like like living next door to Adele?’
Well, now we know as her actual next door neighbour Katy Perry has spilled the beans.
According to the 35-year-old mum-to-be, the Rolling In The Deep singer is ‘very real’.
Katy lives just around the corner from Adele, who swung by to see Katy back in the days when that was a thing.
‘I remember sometime last year, she just knocks on my door and comes in. I’m in my robe, it’s fun,’ Katy revealed over FaceTime to Hits Radio Breakfast’s Fleur East and James Barr.
‘We live very close to each other, we’re friendly, we’ve known each other for a long time.
‘I haven’t seen her in person since she’s been, like, you know, transforming herself because I was busy, she was busy.’
Adele broke the internet when she made a rare post celebrating her 32nd birthday, which also happened to show the incredible results of her weight loss efforts.
Katy, who is currently have her first baby with her fiancé, actor Orlando Bloom, along with her two nieces, nephew and Orlando’s son Flynn from his previous relationship with Miranda Kerr,
‘So, I’ve got a whole crew, which is fun, super playful, but yeah it’s been interesting,’ Katy said.
Opening up on the radio show, she admitted that it’s not exactly been an easy ride being pregnant in a pandemic.
‘I’ve been saying to myself, “it’s okay not to be okay.” It’s okay to have all these feelings. Remember when you think you’re so alone in your problems, we are all together, we’re all feeling this.
‘I think all you have to do is pick up the phone and text someone or call someone and just talk about it for a couple of minutes and that always helps.
‘Instagram is like, I’ll learn a skill, learn a language, learn how to cook and everybody looks so hunky dory, right? But I’m like, I’ve cried these lashes off today ‘cause I just don’t know what to do, you know?’
Katy is, however, excited about her single, Daisies.
She described her song Daisies as ‘an anthem for your dreams and not letting anyone tell you otherwise’.
‘I’d been making a record, not really saying I’d been making a record but all of a sudden I’ve written all these songs and they need a home and a package. So I have been putting the finishing touches on my record at home, with my brother-in-law.’
