MLINDO the Vocalist says no matter what he does, his mum is always in his heart.
The musician from Port Shepstone in KZN, whose real name is Lindokuhle Mgedeza, said he’ll continue putting his mum first and was in no rush to get married, even though he has a girlfriend.
“I’m a mama’s boy and I’m proud of that,” he told Daily Sun.
Mlindo said his mum, who worked as a domestic worker, raised him alone.
“Last year, I started building a seven-roomed house for her in Margate and I will finish it this year,” he said.
Mlindo said in 2019, he bought his mum a six-roomed house in Port Shepstone.
He also bought her a taxi to start a scholar transport business.
“I grew up in hardship with my three siblings. My mother earned very little money and sacrificed for us,” he said. Mlindo said after he became a household name in 2018, he told his mum to resign from her job.
“My mother means a lot to me.I live for her,” he said.
He said he would be releasing a music video at the end of January for Kuyeza Ukukhanya, which is a mix of house and Afro-soul, featuring Mthunzi.
Mlindo said the song was dedicated to his mother.
“I want to say to other people, please take care of your parents because they are special blessings,” he said.
Mlindo said he was in the studio recording an EP featuring Kabza De Small and MFR Souls, to be released in June.
