Rapper Megan Thee Stallion Announces Her New Self-Titled Album

Her new album ‘Megan’ will coming out on June 28 via Hot Girl Productions

The rapper announced the news during the Atlanta stop of her “Hot Girl Summer” tour this weekend. This will be Megan’s third studio album, following 2022’s ‘Traumazine’. But it’s her first album since becoming an independent artist and launching her own label Hot Girl Productions.

The album cover was uploaded on her Instagram official account, shows Megan wrapped up like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon. She says the snake imagery represents rebirth and shedding her past.

Singles released so far include “Cobra,” “Hiss” and “Boa.” The song “Hiss” became Megan’s first solo number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Megan says ‘MEGAN’ will capture many emotions beyond just anger, including happiness over her personal growth.

While Megan Thee Stallion hasn’t shared a tracklist just yet for Megan, she’s been doling out quite a few serpent-themed songs lately: “Cobra,” “Hiss,” and last month’s “Boa.” She’s also shared “Not My Fault,” with Reneé Rapp, for the new Mean Girls movie and released a new remix of her Glorilla collaboration “Wanna Be,” featuring Cardi B.

As an independent artist, Megan now owns all her master recordings and has full creative control. She has a distribution deal with Warner Music Group.

With ‘MEGAN,’ the rapper is establishing herself as a major music force on her own terms. Fans are eagerly awaiting the highly personal album’s arrival next month.
