With great risk comes great reward, and that’s something Samson Dauda firmly understands heading into his next bodybuilding contest. In a recent YouTube video, Dauda shared his diet 15 weeks before the 2024 Mr. Olympia and discussed his decision to train in Kuwait for this prep.

Samson Dauda sports a delicate combination of mass and conditioning, which has paved the way for him in the Men’s Open division. He leaped from sixth place to third at the biggest event of the season, having pushed names like Hadi Choopan and Derek Lunsford at the 2023 Olympia.

This year, Dauda stayed busy and competed twice already. He narrowly took runner-up to Hadi Choopan at the 2024 Arnold Classic. Then, in his backyard, settled for a silver medal against Choopan at the Arnold Classic UK competition.

After these solid performances, Dauda parted ways with his coach Milos Sarcev with many wondering if it was the right course of action. Trained by his wife, ‘The Nigerian Lion’ has decided to finish his prep for the 2024 Olympia in Kuwait at Oxygen Gyms, a haven for bodybuilding talent.

Below, you can find Dauda’s full day of eating:

Meal 1

  • 5 whole eggs
  • 170 grams of oats
  • 1 scoop of protein powder

Dauda starts his day with a filling breakfast of five whole eggs and oats with protein powder mixed in.

“We have an interesting day today. Not only am I going to take you through the meals I’m having right now currently, today’s an interesting day because I’m heading off this evening, flying out to Kuwait. I’m going to be out there training for the Olympia.”

Meal 2

  • 500 grams of sweet potatoes
  • 200 grams of beef steak

For his second helping of the day, Dauda enjoyed sweet potatoes and steak.

Meal 3

  • 350 grams of pasta
  • 180 grams of lean beef 5% minced

He shared that he feels mixed emotions as he heads to Kuwait for his 2024 Mr. Olympia prep.

“I’m excited [to go to Kuwait]. It’s going to be an interesting adventure, at the same time, there’s no place like home. It’s going to be a little bit of mixed feelings, man. I’m excited about going but at the same time, I’m going to miss home too,” shares Dauda.

Meal 4

  • 200 grams of rice
  • 250 grams of chicken breast

While Dauda’s wife helps with meals regularly, he does prefer to barbeque the meat himself. This meal and the next one were prepped because Dauda spent most of his time in the car or waiting at the airport.

“I do a lot of cooking. Yes. Steak and chicken, yeah [barbeque] I do all that,” said Dauda. “It’s hot out there. That’s something I got to get used to, especially being the size I am now. Heat discomfort is a real thing.”

Meal 5

  • 200 grams of rice
  • 250 grams of chicken breast

On the go, Dauda topped off his full day of eating with a second serving of rice and chicken breast.

“All checked in [at the airport]. About to go catch my flight. So, this is it. We’re heading out, saying goodbye to the family.”

Dauda has given fans little teasers here and there of how his body has responded to training and food lately. In addition to previewing his trip to Kuwait, Dauda revealed that his body hasn’t stopped growing. If he dials in his conditioning to never-before-seen levels, many believe Dauda could contend for the Mr. Olympia title this October.

Dauda appears to be eating clean months before he storms the Olympia stage for a third time. Time will tell if the changes to his camp produce the results he’s looking for at the sport’s greatest showcase on October 10-13 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
