The latest episode of Saturday Night Live kicked off with James Austin Johnson’s portrayal of Donald Trump peddling Bibles, injecting the sketch with his signature humor.

The latest Saturday Night Live episode opened in customary fashion, featuring James Austin Johnson’s portrayal of Donald Trump promoting Bibles. With a tongue-in-cheek nod to Easter, Trump humorously likened himself to Jesus Christ, presenting his $60 “Good Book” as a must-have item. Dubbed the “100% Bible, made from 100% Bible,” it was accompanied by miracle toasters that imprinted Trump’s face onto bread. Declining to bow his head for prayer, Trump humorously acknowledged his divergence from tradition before stumbling through The Lord’s Prayer.

Amidst the satire, comedian and actor Ramy Youssef took center stage, offering a refreshing monologue that touched on spirituality and current events.

Dressed in a sleek black suit, Youssef charmed the audience with his thoughtful delivery, acknowledging the significance of the holy month of Ramadan and the upcoming Easter celebration. He effortlessly blended humor with social commentary, poking fun at regional stereotypes and sharing anecdotes from his experiences as a performer.

Youssef’s presence continued to shine throughout the evening, notably in a hilarious sketch featuring the Please Don’t Destroy team navigating a wild night out with musical guest Travis Scott.

The comedic talents of Youssef and his fellow cast members were showcased in various sketches, including the Immigrant Dad Talk Show, which provided uproarious insights into familial dynamics and cultural quirks.

Weekend Update also delivered its share of laughs, with Colin Jost and special guest Sarah Sherman offering comedic relief with their witty remarks.

As the episode drew to a close, anticipation mounted for Kristen Wiig’s upcoming appearance, while viewers were left reflecting on the blend of humor and thought-provoking moments that defined the evening.
