It seems Marvel is taking Tom Holland’s Peter Parker in a whole new direction! A new slate of rumors teases some big changes coming to the upcoming MCU sequel Spider-Man 4.
For better or worse, Marvel changed a lot about who Peter Parker was during his first trilogy in the MCU. This has left many fans hoping for the sequel to return the Web-Head to the mean streets of New York instead of more rural locations. Luckily, a rumor from scooper MyTimeToShineHello suggests Spider-Man 4 will bring the hero back to the city center in a similar way to prior films.
Fans also recently got a taste of what Marvel is bringing to the table story-wise for Spider-Man 4. According to insider Alex Perez from the Cosmic Circus, the MCU’s version of the hero is set to bury everything that was “Peter Parker,” throwing himself entirely into the Spider-Man mantle following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Who Is Directing Spider-Man 4 For The MCU?
With Jon Watts officially stepping back from the MCU, all eyes are on Marvel for who they plan to get to helm the upcoming sequel. Dozens of names have been thrown out for who could helm Spider-Man 4, including Sam Raimi, Fast and Furious director Justin Lin, and The Cabin In The Woods director Drew Goddard.
However, the most likely candidates seem to be falling into Marvel’s lap from DC. A recent rumor suggested Batgirl and Ms. Marvel directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are in the mix to direct the sequel. Given the recent box office success of Bad Boys: Ride or Die, they may be the perfect fit to helm Spider-Man 4.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is now available to own on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Spider-Man’s Marvel Cinematic Universe future and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
