The runtime for Deadpool & Wolverine has been revealed, seeing a new franchise record
The runtime for the new movie Deadpool & Wolverine seems to have been revealed months ahead of its theatrical debut. Set to drop in theaters on July 26, Deadpool & Wolverine will feature a runtime of 127 minutes, or 2 hours and 7 minutes.
Officially, this runtime hasn’t been announced by Marvel Studios, potentially making it subject to change. However, it’s listed on the AMC Theaters website with other information about the film. This would make Deadpool & Wolverine the longest of any Deadpool movie up to this point, setting a new record for the franchise. The original Deadpool move from 2016 was 108 minutes (1 hour, 48 minutes)long, while the 2018 follow-up, Deadpool 2, is 119 minutes (1 hour, 59 minutes) long

While it tops the two-hour mark, Deadpool & Wolverine is far away from having the longest runtime of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. To date, the longest movie in the MCU is 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, which lasts 3 hours and 1 minute long. That puts it comfortably ahead the second-place film, 2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which has a runtime of 2 hours, 41 minutes. Rounding out the top five are Eternals (2 hours, 36 minutes), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2 hours, 29 minutes), and Avengers: Infinity War (2 hours, 29 minutes).
How Many Cameos Will Be in Deadpool & Wolverine?
Given the abundance of cameo rumors, Deadpool & Wolverine may be a pretty fast-paced film with the titular characters traversing through the multiverse. In the movie, the Time Variance Authority assigns Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) a mission with Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) that will forever change the course of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. How exactly that plays out remains to be seen, but there has been no end to the rumors of major cameos that fans are expecting. Among the most popular is the rumor that Taylor Swift will have a role, possibly as the X-Men character Dazzler.
Non-binary actor Emma Corrin has commented on portraying female roles and gendered award nominations.
“I love the proliferation of casting rumors on the internet, because I never have to say what’s real and what’s fantasy, so I’m just going to go with the very cliche ‘no comment’ on all things casting [with] Deadpool 3,” Levy said during an interview on SiriusXM’s Jess Cagle Show. “I will say, we’re lucky on this one. There’s certainly… is this an answer? A lot of the internet rumors are completely false, but some of them aren’t.”
Deadpool & Wolverine will be released in theaters on July 26, 2024.
