Timothée Chalamet Inks Deal with Warner Bros. for Starring and Producing Future Films Post-‘Wonka’ and ‘Dune’ Success

Warner Bros. is strengthening its ties with Timothée Chalamet, signing the actor to a multi-year feature film agreement to collaborate on upcoming projects both as a leading actor and producer.

Having delivered consecutive box office hits with “Wonka” in December, raking in $632 million globally, and “Dune: Part Two” in March, currently standing at $575 million worldwide, Chalamet has cemented his status as a major draw for Warner Bros. According to the studio, he became the first actor in four decades to headline the top two domestic films released within eight months.

Following these blockbuster successes, Chalamet is poised for a significant pay raise. Sources reveal he earned upwards of $8 million for “Wonka” and is now looking at potential salaries in the double digits for future leading roles in studio productions.

Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy, co-chairs and CEOs of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, expressed their enthusiasm for the partnership, stating they are “thrilled” that Chalamet has chosen Warner Bros. as his creative home. Under the first-look agreement, while Chalamet retains the freedom to work on projects elsewhere, Warner Bros. will have priority in backing his potential ventures.

In a joint statement, De Luca and Abdy commended Chalamet’s commitment to his craft and praised his collaborative spirit, particularly evident in his involvement with the “Dune” and “Wonka” campaigns.

Known primarily for his acting prowess in Oscar-nominated films like “Call Me by Your Name,” “Lady Bird,” “Little Women,” and “Dune,” Chalamet has also ventured into producing. He served as a producer on Luca Guadagnino’s “Bones and All” and James Mangold’s “A Complete Unknown,” in addition to acting in both projects.

Expressing his gratitude, Chalamet lauded the Warner Bros. team for their dedication to genuine filmmaking and voiced excitement for the future of their partnership.

Represented by UTA, Ginsburg Daniels Kallis, and Relevant, Chalamet’s collaboration with Warner Bros. signifies a significant milestone in his career trajectory.
