The Cadillac Lyriq made its formal introduction for the 2023 model year as the luxury marque’s very first all-electric production vehicle. For the 2024 model year, Caddy introduced several important updates and changes, including the launch of a new entry-level trim dubbed the Cadillac Lyriq Tech. Ironically, there are several features available higher in the Lyriq range that are not offered by the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq Tech. Now, GM Authority is listing out the top 10 features the Cadillac Lyriq Tech doesn’t get.

  1. GM Super Cruise: The Lyriq Tech does not offer GM’s semi-autonomous driver assist system, which could be an issue for those folks expecting cutting-edge technology.
  2. Active Noise Cancellation: EVs are typically very quiet in the cabin. However, the Cadillac Lyriq Tech is noisier than the rest of the trim levels due to the lack of Active Noise Cancellation.
  3. AKG Studio 19-speaker audio system: The Lyriq Tech is equipped as standard with a seven-speaker audio system, but audiophiles may want to step up to higher trims for the high-grade AKG system.
  4. Multi-color ambient lighting: Adds a dash of custom flair to the interior.
  5. Heated steering wheel and ventilated seats: Depending on where you live and the weather you experience, these could be dealbreakers.
  6. Front-seat massage: Seems like a luxury item – until you don’t have it.
  7. Slimline LED headlights and taillamps with choreography: If you need to make a statement, upgraded exterior lighting is a must.
  8. Rainsense wipers: Seems like a basic item for a modern vehicle, especially a luxury model.
  9. Black roof option: More styling options are available higher in the range.
  10. Hands-free power lift gate: Another basic item that will likely be missed for those who don’t step up to a higher trim.
