Prototype of refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade-V

The GM Authority Take

U.S. Cadillac sales slipped a bit during Q1 2024 on a year-over-year basis, with every model in the red.

The Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV duo had sales broken out a year ago but are combined this time around. Consequently, Q1 2023 sales of 9,228 units combined compared to Q1 2024 cumulative sales of 9,135 units show them being essentially flat year-over-year with a decrease of just 93 deliveries.

The upcoming refresh of the Escalade has been delayed. It’s scheduled to arrive for the 2025 model year. The flagship full-size luxury SUV will receive exterior styling revisions and feature a full-width, pillar-to-pillar infotainment display panel and will include a refresh of the high-performance Cadillac Escalade-V.

All-electric 2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury

Deliveries of the luxury marque’s first-ever all-electric model, the Cadillac Lyriq compact crossover, continue to grow in the marketplace, with it actually moving more units than the luxury marque’s smallest crossover, the subcompact Cadillac XT4 this time around.

The refreshed XT4 may begin boosting sales as it enters the marketplace. It currently shows the least decline among Cadillac’s crossovers.

The compact Cadillac XT5 had the biggest sales drop this quarter, followed by the midsize Cadillac XT6. There are officially no announced plans for an update for either model for North America.

Refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 Premium Luxury

For 2025, the CT5 received a refresh across the lineup, revealing new styling and tech along with more standard safety features along with new advanced ones, including a refresh of the CT5-V and the CT5-V Blackwing. Notably, the CT4 line did not.

On a related note, Cadillac is the only GM brand to offer sedans for sale other than the Bow Tie brand, which sells the Chevy Malibu.

The Cadillac CT4 and CT5 sedans fared worse than the utilities, both in the red by about the same amount. These model lines include the sport-focused Cadillac CT4-V and high-performance Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing, along with Cadillac CT5-V and Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, respectively.
