LEBOWAKGOMO- The popular musician Shebesxht who has been released from ICU, arrived at his daughter’s funeral confined in a wheelchair and had oxygen tubes around his body on Saturday morning in Lebowakgomo township Zone A. 

The ‘Malume’ hitmaker, born Lehlogonolo Chauke was temporarily released from the hospital to attend his daughter’s funeral, after it was delayed for a week, while fighting for his life in a Polokwane-based private hospital, Netcare Pholoso. 

Shebeshxt was involved in a fatal crash two weeks ago which claimed the life of his 8-year-old daughter Onthathile Chuene, while he and his girlfriend Kholofelo Chuene survived to bear the pain of burying their daughter at an early age. 

Onthatile’s funeral was supposed to begin at 06:00 am, however it was delayed with three (3) hours waiting for her father’s arrival from Polokwane’s private hospital, upon Shebe’s arrival in a silver grey VW combi, he looked frail while bound in a wheelchair with his right leg bandaged to the toes and was pushed into a tent where he laid eyes to the mourners and a small cream white coffin, shielded by his daughter’s pictures. 

While taking his sitting space, was immediately surrounded by delegated pastors who prayed for him and on his left hand side it was mourners who watched him with a great sympathy, while a certain gentleman kept on bringing oxygen cylinder to refuel oxygen tubes on his body.

Shebe was only limited to attend funeral’s Part A, which was held at home,but his condition couldn’t allow him to see his daughter’s final place of rest at the gravesite and was then transferred back to the hospital for recovery. 

Amongst the speakers at Shebeshxt’s daughter’s funeral t was the newly appointed EFF Limpopo Chairperson Lawrance Mapoulo, who said ” When you recover from this, you should get a driver who will drive and avoid driving on yourself and be careful with people whom you surround yourself with”. 

In a space of six months, Shebe has been involved in two fatal crashes, which rendered his two laxious vehicles beyond repair
