sudden illness. Social media users vented their dismay, with one calling it a
“massive con” after shelling out £60 for a VIP ticket to see UB40 play at 8:30 p.m.
“Will we get a refund if we haven’t attended because of this?” inquired a different
participant.

fans of the situation. The announcement read: “We are sorry to announce that
UB40 featuring Ali Campbell will be unable to perform today in Norwich. Ali was this
morning unexpectedly taken ill and as a result cannot travel to a show that he was
so looking forward to perform at. Ali is expected to make a full recovery and he and
the band look forward to continuing with his Endless Summer World Tour 2024.”
In Earlham Park, Norwich, there’s an Uptown Festival with a line-up of performers
that includes Earth, Wind & Fire Experience with Al McKay Allstars, The Christians,
Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club, and Martin Kemp: Back to the 80s DJ Live. On
Sunday, June 9, 2024, the event is open from midday to 10 p.m.; admittance closes
at 6 p.m., and there is no possibility of re-entry
