Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree will be a massive challenge to many players, as every other DLC has been in FromSoftware’s previous games. It will feature a new map with new enemies, bosses with very high health and resistance and many new equipment and spells to try
So, if you want to be ready for the DLC, our best Elden Ring build and character level for Shadow of the Erdtree DLC guide will be helpful.
The best character level for Elden Ring DLC
While you can access Shadow of the Erdtree DLC at any level, granted you know how to start the Elden Ring DLC, we recommend players to be around 125 to 150 levels to make the experience less daunting and more fun.
Why? Because at level 150, you can respec your character build using Larval Tear and try out the wide variety of weapons and equipment the DLC will add. It is also a good average level to balance out every stat and, most importantly, to make the game much easier.
Best Elden Ring build for Shadow of the Erdtree DLC
While there are multiple character builds for clearing the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC in Elden Ring, we recommend players go with the Bleed build along with Holy Damage. Bleed builds were popular, and one of the most used builds in the base game, and they will perform great even in the DLC.
That said, here’s our best Bleed build in Elden Ring:
Primary weapon — Rivers of Blood or Eleonora’s Poleblade
Secondary weapon — Reduvia and Black Knife (Holy DMG)
Armor
You can wear any armor, though make sure to use the White Mask headgear to improve your attack power whenever there is Blood Loss nearby.
Talisman 1 — Radagon’s Soreseal
Talisman 2 — Lord of Blood’s Exultation
Talisman 3 — Marika’s Soreseal
Talisman 4 — Erdtree’s Favor +2
Spirit Ashes — Black Knife Tiche
Character Stats
Even after several nerfs that Rivers of Blood and many other weapons have received in the past years, the above setup is still one of the best ones you can use to clear the DLC.
Weapons like Rivers of Blood and Eleonora’s Poleblade are good for dealing close-range damage while increasing Bleed buildup on enemies and bosses to trigger Blood Loss that deals massive damage.
Reduvia is the best weapon to apply Bleed quickly at range. Moreover, when you pair it with the constant damage that the Black Knife inflicts on enemies, this combo becomes deadly, allowing you to tackle all kinds of situations.
The White Mask and the shared Talismans further improve the damage you did using the above build, and if you combine it with the most powerful Spirit Ash, Black Knife Tiche, even the DLC bosses will become much more manageable.
That concludes our guide on Elden Ring’s best build and character level for Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
