Destin Sandlin filmed some UFOs, but what does it all mean?
Remember the eclipse that we had a couple of months ago?
If it didn’t really affect your part of the world, then don’t worry because plenty of people took their cameras and got some wonderful pictures and videos for you.

Of course, NASA got in on the action, as space is kind of their thing, and plenty of people enjoyed getting to look at the results of a total eclipse.
Some people had to be warned not to do anything daft like staring directly at the sun even if an eclipse was happening, and the same went for those looking at it through a camera lens.
Speaking of camera lenses, one expert who filmed the eclipse found something strange in his view.

YouTuber and aerospace engineer Destin Sandlin was one of many who went to the best possible spot to see the historic eclipse.
He wanted to film it, but when he did he spotted some mystery objects in the way.
He said: “When I started looking at this footage, I wanted to see C2 and C3, Baily’s beads, around the edges of the mountains of the moon, right?
“So I started looking at it, and then I realized there is something flying across the sky, like right at C3.
“It could be a bug, it could be a plane, or it could be a satellite.”
Destin then spotted another unidentified flying object moving in front of the moon, and his theory is that they were satellites zipping through space as they orbited our planet.Play
That all sounds pretty reasonable, but some astronomers have their doubts about this.
Settle down; nobody’s declaring it’s aliens or anything.
If these mystery objects are as far away as Destin thinks they are, then their speed would line up with satellites.
However, when he showed the footage to astronomer John McDowell there was some scepticism, as it was suggested that they might be much closer and could be bugs flitting across the footage.
The YouTuber reached out to others who’d been filming at the time of the eclipse and they seemed to corroborate his findings, which would seem to rule out it being bugs, unless the insect world had been co-ordinating to trick us.
Some other experts responded to Destin’s video by saying they had ‘strong doubts’ about the flying objects being satellites, and the true answer is that we may never know what they were.
Just remember that they definitely weren’t aliens. Probably.
